Thai Siam

Thai Siam offers a lot of good vegetarian food at a crazy reasonable price. Their lunch special is around $7.00 and one of the best and tastiest deals in the city. I couldn't possibly tell you of my favorite dish without a few more visits. Everything I've had has been superb. I especially love the Curry Puffs with a nice beer.

I have a theory that you can judge a restaurant by its vegetarian entrees. If the veggie stuff is good, you know you're in good hands. In this case, I can confidently say that this is a great restaurant. The food is good and the service is even better. And honestly, they describe the dishes so wonderfully that I just cut and copied from their website.

I can't wait to go back and try more stuff! And drink more beer!

Pad Pra Ram Vegetarian | This “for vegetarians-only dish” (you know who you are) sparkles with both flavor and protein. We serve up steamed mixed vegetables and deep fried tofu and top it with an incredible peanut sauce. Vegetarianism has its privileges. (V)
Gang Ga Ree — Yellow Curry | You don’t often see coconut milk and potatoes sharing top billing, (they’re notoriously jealous of each other) but be glad they set aside their differences and came together for this delicious yellow curry dish. We add chicken to this tenuous, yet very productive, working relationship of coconut milk and potatoes. (V) (S)

Pad Puck Roum Mid Vegetarian | A light and savory sauce transforms this dish of fried tofu stir-fried with mushrooms, baby corn, zucchini, bell peppers, broccoli and onions. Topped with green onion. (V)
Gang Massaman | The famous Massaman gang in Bangkok is known for cooking this delicious massaman curry dish and feeding it to public officials in lieu of a cash bribe. With coconut milk, potatoes, carrots roasted peanuts and chicken, it’s a delicious offer you can’t refuse. (V)

Unfortunately not pictured:

Curry Puffs | Ah, the curry puff…what we can do with potatoes and onions mixed with zesty curry and deep-fry it all up inside a delicate puff pastry shell! Served with our incredible cucumber sauce, they come four to a plate. We recommend you share, but you may not want to. $5.95 (V)
